Ernst Lurker,
Trixagon
The interesting story about this configuration is:
The object was produced in the Stuttgart area, where I started my studies as an artist at the art academy. Right after the completion of the first production run, I gave one to a former professor of mine, whith whom I was still befriended. Five years later, I visited him again, and he had the Traxagon in the shown configuration on his book shelf. In the intervening years, I had never seen the object in this particular configuration, even though I must have played with it more than 100 times. Seeing it like this (in a peculiar and striking version) was a huge surprise for me. This unusual, symmetrical appearance was in essence his and my invention, a collaboration between artist and user.
