Students + Huainan Decoration Project Co., The Piano House, 2013 The Piano House is located in Huainan City, Anhui Province, China. The building was designed by students from the architecture department of Hefei University of Technology and developed in collaboration with designers of Huainan Fangkai Decoration Project Co. The building was created for music lovers and musicians from local colleges. The building is often criticized as kitsch, literal architecture, or as a typical student project, being primarily outrageous and neglecting all the architectural considerations. - It is ironic that a huge amount of kitsch also happens to be quite playful, and it may behoove us to reexamine our attitudes. Jeff Koons and Paul McCarthy are two major artists with million Dollar price tags who have already cracked the egg. They have introduced elements of Kitsch into the realm of high-end galleries and museums.
